Heal the Ocean focuses on wastewater infrastructure – sewers and septic systems – as well as ocean dumping practices that have contributed to ocean pollution. We are focused on Santa Barbara County, but our methods are now serving as a model for other coastal communities across the country.

Ocean Water Quality Test Results
Before you head to the beach, remember to check the ocean water quality and beach status so you can swim safely! Weekly testing occurs year-round in both Santa Barbara County and Ventura County. Santa Barbara County monitors ocean water quality year-round at 16 beaches from Carpinteria to Guadalupe Dunes, while Ventura Resource Management Agency monitors Rincon and other Ventura County Beaches year-round.
